The river is going to stay around 700 cubic feet per second until August 15th.  This is a great level for all of our sections.  Come on out and cool off with a day on the river.

“… all those who float in an inner tube on AHRA’s 150-mile stretch of river, including the new whitewater park in Canon City, are required to wear a personal floatation device (PFD).”


“The AHRA rangers contact visitors and educate them on the importance of wearing a PFD,” said Wyatt. “We know for a fact that every year, PFDs save lives.”

This weekends river patrols remind me that these ‘medium’ flows ( 2000-1500 cfs) are some of the best conditions for rafting and kayaking all sections of AHRA !!             Get out there and enjoy the river during these hot summer days!!

The water is starting to drop, but flows are still great.  Should be a warm weekend to play on the river!  Have fun and be safe.  Always wear your PFD.
